Alberta’s Access to Information Act (ATIA) provides for a right of access to records held by public bodies such as the Edmonton Police Service (EPS). The EPS Information and Privacy Unit (IAPU) processes all requests made to the EPS pursuant to ATIA.
What is this ATIA online portal?
The Edmonton Police Service accepts online ATIA requests. This means you can submit your ATIA request online, pay the necessary fees online and receive your response electronically. The accounts in this portal allow you to track the process of your request(s) submitted through this site. If you have questions about the requests you filed prior to creating an account, please contact the EPS IAPU Unit at access@edmontonpolice.ca.
How do I submit an ATIA request?
To submit a request click on the ‘Submit Request’ menu item above to submit a digital request. You will be required to register for an account so that the Edmonton Police Service is able to process your request for information. A digital request will allow you the option to pay fees online and check the status of your request online at any time.
